COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- You can find almost anything on the Internet -- including information on cracking a safe.
Police in Colorado reported some crooks had turn to Google to break into the safes at an indoor amusement center in Colorado Springs.
According to officers, the rip-off didn't start well for the bandits. They were dressed in black and tried to disable a security camera by spraying it with WD-40. But Detective Chuck Ackerman said that only cleaned the lens.
After struggling to open the safes for more than an hour, Ackerman said the crooks did a Google search on safe-cracking with a computer in the next office.
Police said they got away with about $12,000. Officers suspect was an inside job.
