SOFIA: Archaeologists in Bulgaria had unearthed a golden mask dating back to the fourth century BC, Bulgarian media reported yesterday.
Archaeologists on Saturday discovered the mask while working at a Topolchene, near Sliven, 250km east of Sofia.
The mask - found with artefacts in a wood-panelled grave - is believed to have belonged to a ruler during the period of the Thrace kingdom, covering parts of what is today Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Turkey.
