$10,000 tip

Jessica Osborne is probably the highest tipped pizza waitress ever - $10,000. The Pizza Hut waitress from Angola, Indiana, received a check in the amount of $10K from a woman and her two sons, who wished to remain anonymous.

The family was regular at the Pizza Hut where Osborne worked as a waitress, to the point of remembering their order - two Mountain Dews, a cup of hot water for a bag of tea the woman brought in and a large Meat Lover's Stuffed Crust pizza, half without pepperoni and half with mushrooms and black olives. The friendly attitude of Jessica Osborne made the family ask for her every time they came in - once or more per week.

Osborne and the family would chat when she had a time, and Jessica shared that she has started college classes twice, but had to drop out because the money was short. One day the woman told Osborne that they will be moving away soon. Jessica told the three to stop by and say good-bye beforehand. And they did - by handing her a check for $10,000.

Jessica Osborne said that thanks to the generous family, she is looking into attending Ivy Tech, a college that holds classes close to where she lives. As for her job at Pizza Hut, Osborne said she plans to continue working as a waitress there.

It all smells of a PR stunt to me? Or is it just me being PR(ish)?

Melina Salazar and Kent Eberhardt got $50,000 tips. Both came from elderly gentlemen in their last will and testament. Salazar got it from Walter Swords, while Kent Eberhardt got it from Jack Lemons.
