HOBART, Ind. - It says "In God We Trust" on US money.
But God still can't write checks. Police in Hobart, Indiana, accuse Kevin Russell of trying to cash a 50-thousand dollar check from God.
Detective Jeff White says Russell presented the check at a bank with the words the "King Savior" and "King of Kings" on the signature line. Authorities say Russell had several other checks with him signed the same way, including one made out for 100-grand. White's being held at the Lake County Jail on a number of charges, including check fraud and intimidation.
