Pink Scrabble

SCRABBLE is changing colour for the first time in its history, makers Mattel said today.

The famous board game has taken on a pink hue to raise money for charity.

Letter tiles, racks, boards and boxes will all take on different shades of
pink in the special edition version.

Mattel, which makes Scrabble in the UK, will donate £1.50 for every pink set sold to Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The toymaker said the colour change was the board game’s first since its creation in 1948.

Pink Scrabble sets will go on sale in the UK from mid-September.
