Round the world charity run

An Austrian man is planning to run around the world in 365 days for charity.

Manfred Michlits from Vienna says he will start his marathon 25,000 kilometre run on January 1 next year, completing 70 kilometres (44miles) a day.

The 38-year-old, who hopes to raise money for Austrian children's charity SOS Kinderdorf, plans to run diagonally across the continents beginning in Asia and finishing in Austria on December 31, 2007.

Physiotherapists and medics will accompany Michlits on his run to ensure he remains in good health.
