World's smallest pub
The Signal Box Inn at Cleethorpes, in Lincolnshire, opens this weekend claiming to be the smallest pub in the world.
The pub, which measures eight foot by eight foot, has five handpumps and a range of real ales on offer. It only has room for a counter and four bar stools, but has a beer garden providing extra space for customers.
A formal application to enter the pub in the Guinness Book of Records has been made for the former signalbox.
Licnesee Andrew McCall said: "I've heard of a pub in Bury St Edmunds called the Nutshell, which has a floor space of 105 square feet. However, our pub is just 64 square feet.
"We are so small that some of the bigger drinks manufacturers will not fit equipment for us because they think that we will not do enough trade.
"However, we expect to be getting people who turn up for a drink simply because they want to have their photograph taken to the world's smallest pub.
