This is Postman Pat on the day he was born as his mum and dad cradle their special delivery.
The tot who became the world's favourite postie looks snug in a blue blanket as Mr and Mrs Clifton dote on him.
Another shot shows Pat more than 10 years on picking up Jess - then just a kitten - from the Greendale cats' home.
He's looking more like the Pat we know and love, but spot the difference - the teen has a bit of an acne problem.
The snapshots are from an album being released to celebrate Pat's 25 years on TV.
He made his debut on the BBC in 1981 and is still a favourite with youngsters. A new series starts in November, featuring new character Amy, a vet voiced by former Corrie star Angela Griffin.
Yesterday, Pat revealed how he planned to celebrate: "I'll probably have a slice of cake and cup of tea with my friends. I'm looking forward to the next 25 years. I wouldn't trade my van for the world, we've shared plenty of adventures. I just love being good old Postman Pat."
Over the years viewers have found out Pat is scared of heights, wears pink spotted pants and supports local football team Pencaster United.
Pat, voiced by actor Ken Barrie, married his Post Office sweetheart Sara in 1996. They have a young son, Julian.
