A furious mother hit out at a "stingy" primary school after her eight-year-old daughter was given just bread and water for her lunch after she forgot her dinner money.
Courtney Williams was served the meagre rations at Castle Hill Primary School, in Brockworth, near Gloucester, while her friends tucked into fish, rice, peas and a dessert.
The 210-pupil school, which actively promotes healthy eating, said all meals had to be paid for up front.

Perhaps they should have made her wear a dunces hat and thrown their uneaten food to her .... she won't forget her money again !
