FOOD giant KFC caved in yesterday in the row over a pub's Family Feast menu. It has now assured landlady Tracy Daly it will drop its legal copyright battle to stop her using the name.
Tracy said: "Common sense has prevailed and I'm very relieved and ecstatic. I'm not going to need my boxing gloves any more.
"I've invited KFC to come here, have a meal and shake hands." Yesterday , lawyers wrote to her after her Tan Hill Inn near Richmond, North Yorks, used the same name for its traditional Christmas meal as KFC does for a bucket of chicken and chips.
But the company said yesterday: "Ms Daly can continue to use the phrase Family Feast. It's an unusual situation that's been blown out of all proportion."
