Since the age of 6, Tony Allen has been a huge Star Trek fan: "I would watch the films over and over again, I even fantasised about being part of the crew."Tony (54) turned his one bedroom studio flat in Leicestershire into the ultimate Star Trek souvenir: "When I bought the place in 1994, it looked like any normal flat, but I saw the potential."
Tony's friend gave him a Star Trek Technical Manual: "It had all the specifications for the Enterprise, and got me thinking. I'd always wanted to live in a space ship."
Tony says he has had to make some sacrifices: "I turned the bedroom into the transporter room, so I had to get rid of my bed and I now sleep on a roll out mattress instead. I even removed my TV - and watch DVD's on my laptop instead."
