Britain's shortest yellow line

Residents of a quiet street in London were astonished to see what they thought must be the shortest yellow line in the country.

The yellow line, all 18 inches of it

The 18 inch-long parking restriction has appeared in upmarket Highbury Crescent, Highbury, north London.

Elly Lishman, 36, who lives nearby, said: 'I was amazed to see the yellow line. It must be the smallest yellow line in the UK - you can only just fit one wheel on it.'
