But I'm not dead!

A furious British Telecom (BT) customer is embroiled in a dispute with the telecoms giant - to prove that he has not died.

Postman Andy Gray, 50, has even contacted the firm himself to show that he is not dead, but still they have cut off his phone in the belief he has passed away.

The dispute began back in March when Mrs Gray opened a letter from BT asking whether she wanted to keep the phone line open despite her husband's death.

The letter was a big shock to the 50-year-old, because as far as she was concerned he was simply out doing his rounds.

Mr Gray and his wife Sallyanne, from Blakeney Close, Eaton, have now demanded an apology from the company, and threatened to make an official complaint to the industry ombudsman.

Mrs Gray said: "It is really getting ridiculous. We spoke to a very helpful woman there just a few days ago and she said she would sort everything out for us ,but we have not heard from her since and when we call BT they don't recognise her name."
