Clever Camera

It's always the way with holiday snaps; you review your pictures only to find photographs of yourself grimacing like you've just drunk cod liver oil.

But you can banish such photos from your albums forever with this new camera from Sony which can automatically refuse to take photographs if the subject isn't smiling.

But the Cyber-shot T can also be programmed to look for other facial impressions, and also have the function turned off and used as a normal camera.

'The photographer can program the camera to detect which type of facial expression to look for, beit a faint smile or a tooth-baring grin,' a spokeswoman for Sony said.

The camera is to be launched later this month.
