ASHWAUBENON, Wisconsin – If the pizza place burns, call 911. If the pizza place burns your pizza, don’t.
That’s the message Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department officers left with the folks at a home in the 2200 block of Carstensen Lane early Sunday evening.
Responding at 6:36 p.m. to several 911 hang-up calls from the home, officers found someone at the home calling 911 because a pizza they’d ordered was burned when it was delivered.
Officers inspected the pizza and determined that it indeed was burned.
Then they told the caller to call the pizza place with their complaint, and not 911.
After all, burned pizza is an inconvenience, not an emergency.
