An Albanian artist has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for a second time after sticking together 1.5 million toothpicks in the shape of a horse mosaic.
The three-dimensional mosaic by 41-year-old Saimir Strati was the largest of its kind at two by four metres (6.5 by 13 feet), said Andrea Bamfi, a member of the local Guinness jury.
"This work is dedicated to the Spanish architect Antonio Gaudi, the creator of the Sagrada Familia (church) in Barcelona, the genius who is my God," Strati told a Tuesday night ceremony to mark the feat.
The mosaic, which was put on display in the hall of the former museum of late communist dictator Enver Hoxha, took Strati a painstaking 40 days to complete.
Strati entered the Guinness Book for the first time in September 2006 after creating a portrait of Leonardo de Vinci out of 500,000 nails.
