$70,000 worth of Australian banknotes have been found on a train in the western German city of Cologne.
The money was discovered in a plastic bag under a seat in a train that was travelling from Switzerland to Germany.
A federal police officer in Cologne, Nicole Ramrath, says she is surprised nobody has come forward to claim the money considering it was handed to police more than a week ago.
"We are now still waiting - it's $70,000 still missing by a person," she said.
"We are regularly in the opinion that the owner will call the federal police in Cologne to get his money back."
