Follow up:- Britain's oldest driver loses no claims

Britain's oldest driver has vowed to keep motoring at the age of 105 - despite recently losing her 71-year no-claims bonus after a minor prang.

Sheila Thomson, who got her first car in 1936 and never took a driving test, enjoys using her Peugeot for church and shopping trips.

'As long as I have a car, I am my own person,' said Mrs Thomson, of Dundee.

And before you ask, no, it's note entirely clear how she's allowed to drive without having passed a test.

Its because in those days you just applied for a driving licence. There was no test!
