A pipe supplier’s website has been crippled by millions of internet surfers confusing it with video service YouTube.
Utube.com sells machinery for making tubes. But in August it had 68million hits by users looking for online videos.
This week the site went into meltdown after Google announced it was buying YouTube.com for £900million.
Ralph Girkins, owner of the Ohio-based pipe website, said: “It’s killing us.”
YouTube denies a claim that it offered £550,000 for his web address.
Girkins says he would sell it for £1.5million.
