A man in Hawaii has been arrested for spray-painting a police officer. The 51-year-old man, who hasn't been identified, painted the female officer with gold spray-paint, after she had initially tried to arrest him for painting the road.
The man was spotted painting the road in front of a shopping centre in Honolulu last Thursday. When the female officer ordered him to stop, he refused, at which point she tried to arrest him, reports say.
It was at this point, according to reports, that he spray-painted her instead.
He also grabbed the officer's leg, leaving her with bruises. In keeping with the people-spraying-other-people theme of the evening, the police then sprayed him with pepper spray.
He was detained on charges of first-degree assault against a police officer and third- and fourth-degree criminal property damage.
