Airline that pays its passengers

A LOW budget airline, which flies from Edinburgh, is claiming to be the first in the world to actually pay passengers to travel with them.

SkyEurope Airline, a Central European company, said today it will cut ticket prices to minus £1.

The cuts apply to tickets for flights between November 1 to December 15, and January 9 to March 24, 2007, the company said in a statement. The tickets must be booked before Sunday midnight.

SkyEurope also operates flights out of Manchester, Birmingham and Stansted airports.

"As of today, SkyEurope becomes the first airline that pays its passengers for flying," the company said.
