Man bugs women to remove clothes

MUSKEGO, Wis. -- Muskego police said they know who the man is who is accused of trying to get women to take off their clothes by telling them they have a tick on them.

Police said he has hit at least seven businesses in Waukesha, Muskego and Franklin using the same bug story.

Police said they have contacted him, but he has not been arrested. The man was hitting area businesses and telling bogus bug stories to try to get female workers to take off their clothes.
The man has been praying on a phobia of creepy-crawly insects -- in particular, a blood sucker -- the tick.

"It was the weirdest thing. I didn't know what to think of it -- creepy," said one of the victims, Hail Frankowski. Frankowski was working at Sunset Tan in Waukesha when a man came in and asked her to show him the tanning beds. During the tour Frankowski said the man told her she had a tick on her shirt. Frankowski looked and that's when she said the man got nasty.

"He was like 'It's right there.' That's when he took my pants, pulled them down, pulled them over, and that's when I jumped and started walking toward the bathroom," Frankowski said.

The man then left the establishment, leaving Frankowski stunned. "You know some guy is violating your space. Just the most random story in the world," Frankowski said.

Police said the man has hit at least seven places in Waukesha, Muskego and Franklin.

He has used the same bogus bug story to trick female employees at businesses into letting their guard down and encouraging them to take off their clothes to find that tick.

"We don't know what his potential gain, is if it's sexual gratification or he's trying to be funny, but it's a serious crime," said Waukesha Police Sgt. John Konkol.

"I hope he gets caught. He's done it to so many people and nothing has happened yet so far," said Frankowski.

Police said the man is targeting younger women typically working alone in stores, and investigators are concerned if he's not caught soon, it will escalate into more sexual assaults.

Police are asking anyone with any information on who the man might be to give them a call. The man is described as about 6 feet tall with graying hair. But there's one thing that really makes him stand out. Police said in all of these cases he was wearing a green jacket with some sort of tree service logo on it.
