Four golf balls swallowed by an unlucky carpet python and removed from its gut in a world-first operation have sold for $A1,401 ($1,241) in an Australian online auction.
The balls were removed from the reptile in emergency surgery at the Gold Coast's Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary last week.
The winning bidder will take home the four unwashed golf balls removed from the snake’s stomach and veterinary photographs and x-ray’s before and after the world-first surgery.
