The HAMlich manoeuvre

ELKTON, Md. (AP) - A 7-year-old boy is being credited for saving his brother's life on a Boy Scouts camping trip.

The boy, William Richmond, gave his 12-year-old brother, Mark, the Heimlich manoeuvre when Mark began choking on a piece of bacon, the Cecil Whig reported.

"I didn't think I was going to live," Mark Richmond told the newspaper.

The boys' mother, Theresa, is a nurse and went over First Aid procedures with the campers. But she was surprised that William was able to do the maneuver.

"They came over and told me what happened. I was totally blown away," she said.

Nice of a sibling to do that. Most siblings would think -- Stop Messing Around! Go away!

Good job for the kid!
