Slimmer Genie required

The Gloucester New Olympus Theater in Gloucester, south-west England, was forced to pull-out from the act a pantomime genie because he has grown to fat that he keeps getting stuck in the trap door.

Alan Myatt was suppose to appear on stage to play the part of a pantomime genie in a play, through a trap door, but his 56-inch waistline will not let him.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper, "I'm just too big to be the genie anymore. The time has come to hang up my lamp. I'm not as agile as I used to be."

The trap door at theatre was widened two years ago to accommodate Myatt's growing stomach. But he just kept on expanding that theater bosses has forced him to quit.

However, the amateur actor is not giving up on his stage career.

He said, "People want me for all sorts of jobs from the laughing policeman to Mr. Pickwick and, of course, Santa Claus."
