No porn please, we're British

Neighbours in Bradley Stoke , near Bristol have called on the police and council officials to stop a house in their cul-de-sac being used to film pornographic movies.

They say that on one occasion explicit scenes were shot in the front garden of the house belonging to sex film producer James Edwards, in full view of surrounding homes.

Residents living near the house, in the Coppice, have also complained about a continuous stream of single men calling at the house, where neighbours claim up to four girls offer their services to clients, a claim firmly denied by Mr Edwards.

More than 30 families have signed a petition calling on the council and the police to take action to stop Mr Edwards' activities.

Police issued an £80 fixed penalty notice to a woman for urinating beside a lamppost while being filmed.

But both police and the local authority said that, apart from that incident, no other criminal activity had taken place.

One elderly neighbour, who asked not to be named, said: "Mr Edwards has openly flaunted the activities that are going on inside his house.

"On one occasion he filmed one of the girls in front of the house.

"At the back of the house there is a conservatory with a jacuzzi and people with bedrooms overlooking it can see them filming porno films, because there is no attempt to screen it or draw curtains.
