A crab, right, found by an international team of biologists during a census of marine life on reefs off Hawaii, is believed to be new to science.
The team aboard the French Frigate Shoals also found new species of sea cucumbers, corals and clams. One of the 11 new corals was so unusual that scientists have so far been unable to identify even its genus. The creatures will now be examined in the laboratory to try to establish their origins.
