Toddler still not sure how Santa does it

Chicago firefighters who rescued a two-year-old boy from a chimney flue in a Southwest Side building say they have no idea how the toddler got into his dangerous situation.

The boy somehow managed to loosen the flue cover in the attic apartment where he lived with his mother and crawl inside, and then he slipped down as far as the basement ceiling.

Firefighters couldn't get down to reach him, so they removed a vent pipe attached to the chimney in the basement and managed to reach up far enough to grab his feet.

The boy suffered only scratches on one of his arms.
