A 20 year old man on rollerblades hitched a ride from a car at breakneck speed in the Netherlands, police said yesterday.
Detectives said that the car was travelling at up to 80 to 90 kilometres per hour (50-56mph) as the man clung on through the streets of the southern Dutch city of Roermond.
A police spokesman said the daredevil ride had lasted for about three miles. He added he was not sure how the man had managed to stay attached to the car at such a speed.
Police detained the man for endangering traffic and later found he still needed to serve almost 30 days for an unrelated offence, the spokesman said.
The driver of the car he had been trailing was not found.

I'm from holland.... it was not on "rollerblades" (in-line skates) but even worse : a skateboard...
