An albino police horse is coping with this summer's heatwave with the help of 30 bottles of sun cream every day.
Humberside Police horse "Blue", nicknamed "Sunny", has a rare genetic condition which means that he has no melanin and therefore little or no pigmentation to protect him from the sun.
Mounted officers put out an Internet appeal for help to get Sunny through the heatwave. A pharmacy donated five gallons of factor 50 lotion in huge drums.
"We have been so worried about Sunny, especially now the temperature is soaring," a police spokeswoman said.
Temperatures on Tuesday exceeded 30 degrees centigrade (86F) for the fourth day running.

So they get a little sun in England and they have to start putting sunscreen on the horses? :)
We ALWAYS get sun here ,normally it's hidden by clouds though :)
Can you imagine how grumpy that horse would be if it got sunburnt !
why not put him in a stall during the day with a/c and let him out at night?
If its anything like you last summer I can...
Well this year I'm tanning nicely rather than go straight to the southern heat and burn
