Applying for a job in law enforcement may not be the best move - if you're wanted by the law.
Brian Shearer thought he was going to be interviewed for a guard's position at Florida's Charlotte County Jail.
But he was the one who ended behind bars.
Authorities say a background check showed Shearer was wanted for being a deserter from the U.S. Army.
The Bradenton Herald reports Shearer has been charged and released without bail at the Army's request.
He's been ordered to report to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to face the charges.
