Ring oh star

A Staten Island wife has been reunited with her wedding ring thanks to her determined husband and a helpful sanitation worker.

Sanitation Worker Carlo Tanutco later helped Ron dig through dozens of trash bags in 90 degree heat until they found the ring.

"Now the ring is staying on my finger forever," Bettey said.

Now reunited with her ring, Bettey thanked the city sanitation worker who helped and hugged her 62-year-old husband Ron. They say it was never about the monetary value of the ring, but rather it's the sentimental value of a ring.

That is, Ron gave her the ring 35 years ago on their fourth wedding anniversary because he couldn't afford an expensive ring when they first married.
