Traffic jam survey causes traffic jam

From the department of "It Seemed Like a Good Idea At the Time," UK officials in Poole, Dorset conducting surveys waved morning commuters over with their clipboards in order to get participants to answer their questionnaires. The all-too-predictable result? A two-mile long rush-hour traffic backup, which caused hundreds of motorists to be late to work.

So... what answers were officials seeking from the motorized masses? A survey regarding traffic congestion !!!

Hundreds were late for work thanks to the half- hour tailbacks in Poole, Dorset, as clipboard-wielding officials pulled cars over for a questionnaire.

Fuming Stanley Rushall, 29, said: “I thought I’d come across a serious accident or big road works.

“I couldn’t believe it. It’s ridiculous to do that sort of thing in the morning rush hour.”

Poole Borough Council transport boss Steve Tite said: “We were aiming to understand drivers’ problems and reduce traffic congestion.

“It was not possible to give advanced warning as drivers might have taken alternative routes.”

I got pulled by one of these bloody surveys a few weeks back ,the police were patrolling it, when I got to the dufus with a clipboard she asked if she could ask me a few questions , I jokingly said no, so she says ok, and let me go... now I'm intrigued as to what they wanted to ask .... almost felt like turning around and going back to see .. but I didn't lol
