Cleese ; an ex- silly walker

Comedy legend John Cleese has confessed: "I can't do the silly walk any more."

Cleese used the routine in a number of Monty Python sketches.

But the star, 66, said: "I can't do it because I've had a hip replacement - probably because I did so much of it. I don't know how I even managed in the first place."

Cleese also had viewers in stitches when he mocked German hotel guests with a high-kicking goosestep in TV's Fawlty Towers.

And animal lover Cleese, who performed the classic Dead Parrot sketch with Monty Python, revealed he can't stand the birds.

He said: "No, we don't have a parrot. The reason is I hate the bastards."

Cleese recently announced his retirement and is planning to write a book on the history of comedy.

He is also becoming a "comedy professor" and will be teaching students how to be funny.

my favorite one is when he is showing the girl her room and he goes into the bath room to check something and her back itches and she backs up against the door jam and rubs up and down to scratch her back, and he reaches around from the bathroom to flip the light switch and flips her nipple up and down...i laughed so hard i wept...
